Shortly before 3 a.m., deputies with Multnomah County Sheriff's Office responded to an assault call in the 32600 block of East Bell Road near Springdale School, said Brandon White, public information officer for Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries, White said.

Following an MCSO investigation, deputies arrested 40-year-old Sean Allen Tester of Corbett on several counts of assault.

Originally, authorities thought it was a home invasion, but after gathering more evidence they determined that was not the case.
