Free kids' vision screenings offered
Children ages 3 to 7 can get a free vision screening starting at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Troutdale Library, 2451 S.W. Cherry Park Road.
The Elks Children's Eye Clinic at Oregon Health & Science University's Casey Eye Institute is offering free screenings across Oregon as a part of a statewide initiative called See to Read, which aims to detect vision problems that can only be treated successfully if caught before age 7.
