Children get free vision screening
Youngsters ages 3 to 7 can get a free vision screening at two local events.
The Elks Children's Eye Clinic at Oregon Health & Science University's Casey Eye Institute is offering free screenings across Oregon as a part of a statewide initiative called See to Read, which aims to detect vision problems that can only be treated successfully if caught before age 7.
The Gresham Library, 385 N.W. Miller Ave., will host a clinic from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19.
Another vision screening clinic will be held at 5 p.m. April 15, at the Fairview-Columbia Library, 1520 N.E. Village St.
