New farmers market will be open mid-week and offer produce, handmade goods after hours

East Multnomah County residents will soon be able to purchase their produce after hours as a new Twilight Market opens next week.

The newest market will be open from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evenings, from June 5 to Aug. 28, in the parking lot at the Gresham Station Shopping Center, 649 N.W. 12th St. The market will be helmed by the Gresham Farmers Market, which hosts the popular Saturday festivities in downtown.

"We're bringing new vendors to the Gresham Station Twilight Market, as well as several of our Saturday market favorites," said Jon Berlin, market manager. "We're really looking forward to providing the community a mid-week opportunity to buy locally-grown food and offering them with a full farmers market experience."

More than 40 local vendors are confirmed to join the Twilight Market. There will also be a wide array of family-friendly activities including live music, petting zoos and local celebrities.

The market is made possible through a partnership with Harsch Investment Properties, which acquired Gresham Station Shopping Center in September 2018. There is plenty of free parking at the site, and the MAX Blue Line has two stops nearby.

"We are so excited to continue to make Gresham Station Shopping Center the place to be in Gresham," said Jordan Schnitzer, president of Harsch Investment Properties. "The Twilight Market will offer the best in farm-to-table vegetables, meats, flowers, and more that all of us want for our families."
