Statue will be at the corner of Northwest Third Avenue and North Main Avenue, in front of Café Delirium.

Visitors to the Gresham Arts Festival will be able to celebrate the unveiling of the latest bronze sculpture coming to the community.

At 6 p.m. Friday, July 19, the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce and Gresham Outdoor Public Art will show off "Bless Our Nest," a bronze piece featuring seven ducks — a mother, father and five babies. The statue will be located at the corner of Northwest Third Avenue and North Main Avenue, in front of Café Delirium.

The piece was made by Heather Soderberg, a Cascade Locks-based artist, who will be on hand during the reveal. Several of her pieces are already in place in downtown Gresham. She made "Driscoll" the bronze guide dog and "Blue" the bronze heron, both at the same intersection.

The same day as the unveiling, visitors can enjoy Art Under the Stars.

The event precedes the popular Gresham Arts Festival with a free concert, beer and wine garden, local cuisine and a silent auction featuring work from artisans scheduled for the festival.
