Outlook, Post, Estacada News combine for 28 statewide Oregon Newspaper Publisher A awards

The staffs of The Outlook, Sandy Post and Estacada News, which all publish out of the Gresham office, combined for 28 awards in the 2019 Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association Better Newspaper Contest.

The three newspapers also won the coveted Elmo Smith Award of General Excellence, claiming first place in each of their respective circulation divisions. This award is based on news, feature and opinion content, as well as the quality of advertising, graphics and display of content.

"It is not uncommon that one or more of our three newspapers place in the General Excellence competition," said Publisher Steve Brown. "But it's a special treat when all three finish in first place.

"These awards are owned by my staff, which works extraordinarily hard each and every day to bring our customers the very best community news and advertising in communities from Gresham to Government Camp and Estacada."
