Man arrested after guns seized during traffic stop
Portland Police officers tasked with proactive gun violence patrols made an arrest Wednesday morning, Sept. 4, during which two firearms were seized.
Officers with Portland's Gun Violence Reduction Team pulled over a vehicle around 12:13 a.m. near Southeast 162nd Avenue and Southeast Alder Street. During the stop, they located two concealed firearms in the vehicle.
Kalemete F. Gase, 32, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of a loaded firearm in public.
