Man arrested for sexual assaults at massage parlor
A 67-year-old man was arrested by the Portland Police Bureau Thursday afternoon, Oct. 24, after a pair sexual assault investigations in 2013 and 2018 at his illegal massage parlor.
Somphone Phomphackdy, aka "Ole," turned himself in to police and was lodged into the Multnomah County Detention Center on two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, practicing massage without a license and failing to have a license required to practice.
Police believe some clients to Phomphackdy's business on Northeast 162nd Avenue may not be coming forward about the assaults due to language or immigration status barriers. Law enforcement said the clients ranged from young children to elderly adults.
Portland detectives encourage victims to reach out if they have information or were the victim of a crime associated with this arrest. Police have resources to assist with language translation and support. They also said an individual's immigration status will not be investigated.
Anyone with information should call Detective Jeff Myers at 503-823-0595.
