At 11:03 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, officers responded to reports of a shooting and car crash on Southeast 157th Avenue, north of Southeast Stark Street.

Emergency medical responders arrived and determined Platt had died at the scene. The Oregon State Medical Examiner said he died of a gunshot wound.
As officers spoke with witnesses in the area, others searched the neighborhood with K9 teams. No suspects were found.
