Six-year-old Jaxson finished 3 and a half years of chemotherapy and completed his treatments for leukemia. Normally he would have gotten to ring the bell in celebration at Hollydale Elementary School, but because of social distancing guidelines they had to get creative in honoring his accomplishment.

So the school put together a parade for Jaxson Sunday evening, April 5. Dozens of his neighbors decorated their cars and drove by Jaxson and his parents, who were stationed outside of the school. Gresham Fire & Emergency Services and the Gresham Police Department also joined in the fun, with the participants honking horns, ringing bells, and shouting encouragement to Jaxson.
