The appointee's term will run until June 30, 2021. In May of 2021, an election will be held to select an individual to serve the remaining portion of the unexpired term, which ends June 30, 2023.
Anyone who wants to be considered for the appointment should submit a letter of interest that includes the following:
n A brief personal history.
n A history of their public service, particularly as it relates to education.
n Their thoughts related to the two or three biggest issues facing the Gresham-Barlow School District during the next 12-18 months and how they would address them.
Letters of interest must be submitted to the superintendent's office by 5 p.m. Friday, July 17.
Candidates will be interviewed toward the end of July. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, interviews may be held using a virtual meeting platform such as Zoom.
