Woman arrested for allegedly stabbing, killing mother
An East Portland woman has been arrested on accusations she stabbed and killed her 61-year-old mother.
Angelina Maria Volobuev, 29, is facing charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon after Portland Police said she killed her mother in an incident of domestic violence.
The investigation began at 9 a.m. Friday, July 10, when Portland police officers responded to a welfare check in the 16300 block of Southeast Foster Road on reports of an injured person. Police later said the victim was Nadezhda Volobuev, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Angelina Maria Volobuev was arrested in connection to her mother's death. She is being held in the Multnomah County Jail.
