Highway 212 will close to all traffic for 12 days starting Monday, Aug. 10, for installation of a new fish-friendly bridge over North Fork Deep Creek, which flows under the highway between Boring and Highway 26.
The new bridge is part of a series of improvements along Highway 212 between Interstate 205 and Highway 26 through Boring and Damascus. The work includes paving and new ADA-compliant curbs at 26 intersections.
Travelers may have noticed the preparation work under way this week for construction of the new bridge, which has meant pile-driving and daytime traffic delays.
During the 12-day closure, travelers should follow the detour signage.
Day and night lane closures will continue through the duration of the project, which is expected to conclude in 2021.
