Grants available for Gresham art
Applications are open to support programs, projects and activities that enrich the arts, culture and heritage of the Gresham community.
Eligible activities that could receive grant funding include:
Grants are available to nonprofit organizations physically located within the Gresham city limits and to Gresham residents who have partnered with a qualifying nonprofit group.
The funds are allocated by the Arts and Culture Grant Committee, and the maximum amount awarded to any entity is $6,000. The applications will be accepted until noon on Friday, Oct. 2.
The grants will go to projects that encourage collaboration, promote activities that build upon the stories of Gresham as a community, are visible within the community and support underrepresented communities.
Last year's recipients included the Center for the Arts Foundation; SALT Academy; St. Aidan's Episcopal Church; Portland Columbia Symphony; Gresham Historical Society; Mt. Hood Community College Foundation; and the Slavic Community Center.
