New COVID-19 cases decline third day in a row
Reported new COVID-19 cases fell for the third day in a row on Monday, a day when no new deaths from the virus were announced.
The Oregon Health Authority reported 181 confirmed and presumed new cases on Sept. 28, bringing the state total to 32,994.
New cases have declined since the state reported its all-time daily high of 457 new cases on Friday. That was followed by 277 new cases on Satuday and 242 on Sunday.
The state's death toll remains unchanged at 547.

The new cases reported today are in the following counties: Benton (4), Clackamas (13), Clatsop (5), Columbia (8), Deschutes (13), Douglas (1), Hood River (1), Jackson (13), Jefferson (6), Lane (26), Malheur (6), Marion (12), Morrow (6), Multnomah (21), Polk (2), Umatilla (11), Wasco (4), Washington (24), and Yamhill (5).
