Around 3 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, Michael Brady Ford, 43, was arrested by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies after he fled from Warm Springs Police Department officers through Government Camp. He faces charges of attempting to elude, reckless driving, and second-degree mischief.

Warm Springs officers had been pursuing Ford's truck, before relaying on his information as he sped through the Government Camp area. Clackamas County deputies set up a check point in Rhododendron, and used sticks designed to deflate a vehicle's tires to slow his progress.

According to law enforcement, Ford refused to stop, turning onto Road 26 — a narrow gravel road that loops back onto Highway 26. Clackamas deputies used a maneuver to cause Ford's vehicle to spin, bringing it to a stop.

Ford eventually left the vehicle and was taken into custody without further incident. He is being held in the Clackamas County Jail.
