Corbett road closed after burst water line
Southeast Louden Road near Corbett was closed after a broken water line eroded a slope below the road.
The road was shuttered Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 26, three-quarters of a mile from the intersection with Southeast Littlepage Road.
The water line that burst was maintained by the Corbett Water District, and caused erosion to a 100-foot-tall slope below the road. The water district repaired the damaged line and Multnomah County Transportation brought in a geotechnical engineer to determin a schedule for reopening the road.
While Louden Road is closed at the water line break, residents east of the closure should use Larch Mountain Road. Access to the west end of Louden Road is from Southeast Littlepage Road.
