The roof of a Safeway store in Troutdale caved in Monday morning, Feb. 15, after buckling under the weight of snow and ice piled up from the weekend's storms.

There were no serious injuries reported at the store on Southwest Cherry Park Road, though one person allegedly suffered a minor injury and refused transportation to a hospital.

Gresham Fire & Emergency Services attributed the damage to the weight on the flat-roofed building. Officials with the Gresham Fire are keeping an eye on other buildings in the region. The roof came down around noon.
