Gresham Fire responds to 10 businesses with winter storm damage after heavy snow, ice.

COURTESY PHOTO: MULTNOMAH COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE - The roof at the Cherry Park Safeway in Troutdale collapsed at noon Monday, Feb. 15. Roofs are collapsing across East Multnomah County due to the weight of snow and ice that dumped down last weekend.

In total, Gresham Fire & Emergency Services said 10 businesses have reported collapsed roofs, with most occurring Monday, Feb. 15, as temperatures rose. The damage has varied between locations and there have been no serious injuries reported.

The list of businesses are:

— West Coast Metals, 17401 N.E. Halsey

— Old Navy, 747 N.W. 12th

— Safeway, 2501 S.W. Cherry Park

— Auto Resources, 1100 S.W. Highland

— Unisource, 18557 N.E. Halsey

— Trailblazer Foods, 18403 N.E. Halsey

— Gresham Dodge, 855 N.E. Burnside

— Cascade Athletic Club — roof over the hot tub, 19201 S.E. Division

— Rob's Auto Repair, 3775 W. Powell Loop

— JR Furniture, 40 NW Burnside

Gresham Fire has attributed the damage to weight on flat-roofed buildings. Officials are continuing to keep an eye on other buildings in the region.
