CCSO: Man suffers life-threatening stab wounds near Barton
Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating after a man suffered life-threatening stab wounds in a rural area.
CCSO deputies responded to a 911 call around 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, following reports from a motorist driving on Eaden Road in East Clackamas County. Eaden Road runs south of Barton and west of Eagle Creek.
The driver said they stopped for help after finding an injured man lying near the road.
"The man was yelling that he'd been stabbed," deputies say.
The 32-year-old victim, who has not yet been identified, had cuts to his chest, arm and head from an "edged weapon," but was still able to communicate with deputies.
He was taken by Life Flight helicopter to a local hospital and remains in critical condition as of late Saturday.
The investigation continues, but authorities say there is no threat to the general public.
