Local kids can swing into summer with Play Ball Gresham; Gresham students excell at Gonzaga

Kids across Gresham can swing into summer with a fun event alongside Mayor Travis Stovall.

Play Ball Gresham is back with a fun-filled afternoon for kids to learn the basics of baseball, make new friends, and hang out with the mayor. All school-aged children are welcome and no experience is necessary.

The event is from 1-3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at Pat Pfeifer Park, 424 N.E. 172nd Ave.

Gresham students excell at Gonzaga

The following local scholars were recently named to the spring term President and Dean's lists at Gonzaga University in Spokane. To be eligible for the President's List, students must earn a 3.85 grade point average for the grading period. Those named to the Dean's List must earn a 3.5 to 3.84 grade point average.

Noah Lowery and Rachel Maness.

-Dean's List

Christopher Farrow and Evan Inglesby.

Farrow also graduated cum laude, with a bachelor's degree in psychology and Spanish, during commencement ceremonies held May 9.
