Three face charges after alleged intoxicated fight Saturday evening, July 10

Two Multnomah County Sheriff's Office patrol deputies were injured Saturday evening, July 10, after responding to a fight involving several people in the McMenamins Edgefield parking lot, 2126 S.W. Halsey St.

Around 6:41 p.m. about four men and three women, all allegedly intoxicated, were refusing to leave the property, fighting and threatening security. When a deputy arrived to separate the individuals, several began assaulting the deputy. The deputy was hit in the face multiple times and knocked unconscious. According to the MCSO, the group continued to fight with additional deputies before all being detained.

The injured deputy was transported to the hospital with head injuries, was released overnight and is recovering at home. A second deputy reported minor injuries to their hands and arms, and received medical attention on scene.

Three people are facing charges related to the brawl.

Alverta Rosales, 31, faces assaulting a public safety officer, interfering with a peace officer and resisting arrest; and Joe Dolores Martinez Calixto, 31, faces two counts of assaulting a public safety officer and resisting arrest. Both were booked into the Multnomah County jail.

Michell Calixto, 38, faces charges of assaulting a public safety officer, interfering with a peace officer and resisting arrest. He was transported to the hospital for injuries, and has since been released.
