Festival honors its president with ceremonial planting
It was a festive sight in Fairview Village Saturday morning when Portland Rose Festival Foundation dignitaries and members of the Royal Rosarians and the Portland Rose Society descended on the neighborhood to honor Rose Festival President Dave Todd.
Todd, a resident of the village, is in the midst of a two-year term as Rose Festival president.
On Saturday, a ceremonial rose bush was planted in front of his home on N.E. Chinook Way.
The Rose Festival will return next year after an unprecedented two-year pause due to the pandemic.
