Law enforcement investigate pair of shootings in Gresham that left two victims

Gresham man shot in face

A man suffered a gunshot wound to his face after a shooting Tuesday morning, July 27, in Gresham.

Around 7:31 a.m. Gresham Police officers responded to reports of gunfire at 18801 E. Burnside St. Upon arrival they found an adult man with a wound to the left side of his face. The victim was transported to a hospital and police said he is expected to survive.

While the suspect remains at large, police said the culprit likely knew the victim.

Person injured in Centennial Neighborhood shooting

A person was injured in a shooting late Monday, July 26, in the Centennial Neighborhood.

Around 11:27 p.m. Portland Police Bureau officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 17100 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard. Upon arrival they found a victim with a gunshot wound. Officers provided first aid until they were transported to the hospital by ambulance with a non-life-threatening injury.
