Former board member is recognized for dedication to the Mt. Hood Community College mission

Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) named Jim Zordich the 2020-2021 recipient of the Patron Saint Award on Wednesday, July 28. COURTESY PHOTO: MT. HOOD COMMUNITY COLLEGE  - Jim Zordich has served on the Mt. Hood Community College board of education for eight years.

The award is given to those who have supported the college and its students through volunteerism and/or financial generosity. It is the highest honor MHCC awards.

Zordich served on MHCC Board of Education for the past eight years.

The former board member also supported many of the college's fundraising efforts. Him and his wife, Garie Zordich, have consistently sponsored the annual auction, and have played a major role in coordinating pick-up and delivery of auction items.

Zordich joins a group of 67 Patron Saint recipients since the award was first presented in 1968.
