Reynolds offers incentive for new hires
Reynolds School District is adding incentives for new hires and is holding a job fair where it hopes to attract applicants to key positions in this competitive job market.
The district is accepting applications for positions in multilingual education, special education, transportation, maintenance, nutrition services, library media, teaching and substituting.
On-site interviews will be conducted and conditional offers of employment will be made on the spot when appropriate. New hires in support staff positions will receive a $500 sign-on bonus with $250 coming at the end of 120 days of employment and the additional $250 at the end of the 2021-22 school year. New hires will also have access to tuition assistance, fully-paid medical and dental benefits for the employee if hired to work four hours a day or more and other benefits and opportunities for advancement within the district.
The job fair is from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Salish Ponds Elementary School, 1210 N.E. 201st Ave., Fairview.
Applicants should bring their resume, a list of at least three references and a cover letter. Early online application submissions are encouraged.
Laptops and tablets are available at the fair for applicants to submit a job application, print resumes, scan vaccination status and print and sign conditional letters of intent.
"We look forward to showcasing the many attributes of Reynolds School District to prospective new hires," said Angela Freeman, Reynolds' assistant superintendent of human capital management. "Hosting a job fair is an efficient way to help fill the multiple positions we currently have available."
