Portland Police are investigating the weekend killing of 34-year-old George Edward Rowe IV.

At 5:22 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 7, Portland Police Bureau East Precinct officers found George Edward Rowe IV dead in the 2300 block of Southeast 148th Avenue. After preliminary investigations were focused on a possible hit and run, the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office later ruled the death as a homicide by gunshot.

The victim also went by Tylor Rowe, and his family has been notified of his death. The investigation into the homicide is ongoing.

Southeast 148th Avenue was closed between Southeast Caruthers Street and Southeast Grant Street while the scene was investigated. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det.
