Pedestrian struck while pushing bicycle along edge of Northeast Halsey Street Monday evening, Nov. 29

A pedestrian was hit and killed Monday evening, Nov. 29, while walking in Gresham.

At 9:20 p.m. Gresham Police officers were dispatched to a fatal hit-and-run crash involving an unknown vehicle and a pedestrian. The victim was pushing a bicycle hauling a plastic cart with wheels in the eastbound lane of Northeast Halsey Street near Northeast 190th Place.

The car was traveling eastbound on Halsey and hit the pedestrian from behind. The suspect vehicle should have front-end damage, police said, but there is no other information at this time.

The victim's identity is being withheld until family has been notified.
