HOLLA Public Charter School brings its dedication to students of color to Reynolds School District

COURTESY PHOTO: HOLLA CHARTER SCHOOL - HOLLA was founded in 2013 and works with students in and out of school. During its Nov. 17 meeting, the Reynolds School District board approved HOLLA Public Charter School to serve students within the district.

HOLLA School plans to open in the fall 2022 in the Rockwood neighborhood for kindergarten through second-grade students. It plans to add grades three to five in several years.

HOLLA's goal is to partner with the Reynolds School District in building a communal space where Black, Brown and Indigenous students are able to come together and build community.

HOLLA would work with the Reynolds School District to advance a shared vision and values for the community.

The school is a mentorship movement that connects with families, administrators, teachers, and nonprofit organizations to recognize the power and potential of Black and Brown youths.

The organization provides opportunities for representation, enrichment and exposure through athletics, arts, outdoors and college preparation.

Founded in 2013, HOLLA works with students both in and out of school.
