Gresham Barlow School District brings back masks
Due to Multnomah County reaching a high COVID-19 community risk level, the Gresham-Barlow School District will require masks in its schools and facilities.
The CDC's community risk framework recommends indoor masking at the high-risk level.
Gresham-Barlow School District's mask requirement went into effect on Monday, July 5.
The CDC bases its community levels on the number of hospital beds being used, hospital admissions and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.
CDC suggests lowering personal community risk by adding layers of protection, wearing mask indoors or in crowds, delay visits with people who are at higher risk for severe disease, holding smaller or outdoor gathering and opening windows and doors for improved ventilation when possible.
