Hector Nieves, Jonah Landis, Thu Nguyen, Megan Hankland claim category wins during 2022 Chalk the Walk contest

Fairview's top artists grabbed a colorful array of chalk and brought their talents to the sidewalks during a community festival last weekend.

Dozens competed in the Chalk the Walk competition Saturday afternoon, July 30, during Fairview on the Green at Community Park, 21600 N.E. Park Lane. While many enjoyed the live music, vendor booths and games during the free, family-friendly event, a group illustrated the "Good Times" via chalk around City Hall.

There were three competition categories — children, youth and adult, as well as a people's choice.

The winners of the 2022 Chalk the Walk:

• Hector Nieves, 8 years and younger

• Jonah Landis, 9-17 years

• Thu Nguyen, 18-plus

• Megan Hankland, people's choice
