Put your gingerbread skills to the test in Gresham contest
Did you know that the Gresham Historical Society and Museum has an annual gingerbread competition?
Last year was the beginning of a new Gresham tradition. It was the first year the Historical Society held a community gingerbread competition.
Last year's "Christmas at the Museum," a three-week event hosted over 800 people. The Museum is completely decorated with multiple Christmas trees and displays along with the gingerbread houses in the competition. This year's theme is Christmas around the world, and we have two categories for the participants to participate in, professional bakers, and non-professionals. In the professional category there will be a maximum of 15 bakers allowed and, in the nonprofessional category, there will be a maximum of 20 participants. The nonprofessional category is a fun way for individuals, families, or other groups and businesses to celebrate the holidays and win some holiday cash.
