Many an hour was spent by Jim Card this spring, and then in the long, hot days of the summer, putting together this magical scene of serenity so the rest of us could enjoy the labors of his love for Gresham and sister city Ebetsu.
Between this project and also taking care of Tsuru Island, it takes a special person to want to do this, to devote so many hours. He is more than just a volunteer. He is a caring and giving person who watches over "his" gardens. Gresham is lucky to have him. A mere thank you is not enough for someone so driven for beauty and the balance and appreciation of nature. But I will say, thank you Jim, over and over.
Alyson Huntting, Gresham
