Letter writer Alyson Huntting gives a shout out to Jim Card, the driving force behind Gresham's Japanese garden (Tsuru Island) at Main City Park.

Between this project and also taking care of Tsuru Island, it takes a special person to want to do this, to devote so many hours. He is more than just a volunteer. He is a caring and giving person who watches over "his" gardens. Gresham is lucky to have him. A mere thank you is not enough for someone so driven for beauty and the balance and appreciation of nature. But I will say, thank you Jim, over and over.
