The writer describes Dave Dyk as approachable, attentive, personable and sincerely committed to the city of Gresham.

As a resident of Gresham who is a hardworking, tax paying, concerned community resident, I highly encourage my neighbors to vote for Dave Dyk for Gresham City Council, Position No.5.

Dave has been active in East County for years, serving on several nonprofit and civic committees, including as vice chair of the city of Gresham Finance Committee.

His expertise in public finance and budgeting will be an important addition to the City Council that will help our ever-expanding area grow smartly and efficiently, from parks to public safety. Dave has also served on the finance committee of Human Solutions, and so he is keenly aware of the importance of addressing economic opportunity and affordable housing.

Most importantly, after meeting him at several public events, I've found him to consistently be approachable, attentive, personable and sincerely committed to the aforementioned causes. Dave isn't running for City Council out of ego; rather, he truly wants to represent all of us in making our community even better than it already is, in the short-term and for future generations.

On Nov. 3, vote for Dave Dyk for Gresham City Council, Position No.5.

Christian Burgess, Gresham
