City Council candidate will put a priority on improving recreation opportunities.

When I married Dave Dyk seventeen years ago, I was drawn to his goodness, generous spirit, and passion for life. Friends and family can call on Dave when moving, fixing a computer, or for career advice. He has brought those same qualities to his volunteer work in the community.

It is not a surprise that Dave has decided to run for City Council. He has always had an interest in local government. Knowing that he is a fan of the TV show Parks and Recreation, classmates in the 2018 Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy awarded Dave the Knope of the Year award. As a City Councilor, Dave will channel that passion into one of his campaign priorities: a focus on improving recreation opportunities for the families and children of Gresham.

Our family loves the natural beauty, the adorable downtown, and the friendly people of Gresham. Although Gresham is a wonderful city, we can make it a healthier and fairer place for everyone. I know Dave will work hard to represent everyone in our community.
