Gresham city councilor Dina DiNucci endorses Measure 26-223 to continue urban renewal progress

   - DINUCCIIn 2003 Gresham residents voted to pass urban renewal for West Gresham/Rockwood. Ballot Measure 26-223 asks for a little more time to use those urban renewal funds. We can continue the improvements with a YES vote with no additional taxes.

Gresham already voted YES in 2003, so why are we voting for it again? In the urban renewal period we had two recessions and other challenges that slowed the projected projects. Great plans to build a more livable and safer community were happening at a slower pace.

By voting "YES" we extend the time for the Urban Renewal District to build the local economy like we planned.

If you don't understand urban renewal, please reach out to the city of Gresham and then vote YES!

Examples of improvements include the Rockwood Market Hall, the Boys and Girls Club and improvements in our industrial areas leading to new employers.

In 2003 we passed urban renewal with the endorsement of community leaders, the Gresham Outlook and the Oregonian. Please visit or contact the city of Gresham to learn more or send email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
