"Arsenic and Old Lace" — 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25-26, Nov. 1-2; 2:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, SALT Academy, 333 N. Main Ave., Gresham. Written by American playwright Joseph Kesselring in 1939 and during the early onset of World War II, the play is a farcical dark comedy set in Brooklyn, N.Y., revolving around the long-established Brewster family, two sweet old aunts and their nephews. The play references several points in history particularly around the Panama Canal. Tickets are $16 for ages 14 and older; $12 for ages 3-13, seniors and veterans. Visit for more information.


"Outside the Box" — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, through Thursday, Nov. 7, excluding holidays, city of Gresham Visual Arts Gallery, Public Safety & Schools Building, 1331 N.W. Eastman Parkway. The show encourages artists to reflect a new perspective: those who see, feel, create and design their art through a new dimension, art that is spontaneous, innovative and imaginative. Free. Heslin House Museum and Fairview Historic Jail — noon to 4 p.m. third Saturday of each month, 60 Main St., Fairview. Exhibit features posters and other memorabilia focused on the home front during World War II. Free admission, but donations welcomed. Visit for more information.

Harlow House Museum — 1-3 p.m. Sundays, 726 E. Historic Columbia River Highway, Troutdale. The home was built in 1900 on what was known as the Harlow Farm by Fred Harlow, son of Troutdale founder Captain John Harlow. The house is relatively unchanged from the day it was built.
