Edgefield hosts St. Patrick's Day Across the Land celebration March 14 and 17

For those ready to scratch their St. Patrick's Day celebration itch, McMenamins Edgefield resort in Troutdale and Spinella's Off the Wall in downtown Gresham are two places to get green with a range of activities Friday, March 13, Saturday, March 14, and Tuesday, March 17, the St. Paddy's holiday itself.

Live Irish-style music, food, balloons and face painting, Leprechauns, lots of camaraderie and even golf are on tap for Edgefield's "St. Patrick's Day Across the Land," noted spokeswoman Carly Smith.

"You're in luck this year as McMenamins hosts two days' worth of St. Patrick's Day events on March 14 and 17," she said. "From Irish tunes to Irish brews, McMenamins is rolling out the green carpet for everyone who wants to party Emerald Isle-style."

Free admission should encourage folks of all ages to stop by the Troutdale resort at 2126 S.W. Halsey St. over the weekend "to enjoy food and drink specials including Irish Stout, Irish Coffee, Irish Reuben and MacSleyne Irish Stew." • Loading Dock: Biddy on the Bench, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Molly Malone Irish Dancers, 1 p.m.; Na Rosai, 1:30-3 p.m.; Cul An Ti, 3:30-5 p.m.; SheHaw, 5:30-7 p.m.; SOS - A Tribute to The Police, 8-10 p.m.

• Molly Malone Irish Dancers, 1 p.m.; Hills and Hollows, 1:30-3 p.m.; Cul An Ti, 3:30-5 p.m.; The Moonshine, 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Sweet 'N Juicy, 8-10 p.m.

• Little Red Shed: Outbound Traveler, 3-5 p.m.; Cary Novotny and Friends, 5:30-7 p.m.

• Winery Tasting Room: Kinvara, 3-6 p.m.

•Sample seasonal McMenamins Irish Stout, Irish coffee, Irish reuben and MacSleyne Irish Stew, enjoy balloons, face painting, Leprechauns with candy and River City Pipe Band roaming Edgefield grounds.
