Rock & roll legends are once again making their way to Boring for a concert series that promises to wow East Multnomah County.
The Mt Hood Center Concert Series will feature an epic lineup of tribute bands through the coming months — Petty Fever, Tom Petty tribute; Eagle Eyes, Eagles tribute; Notorious, Duran Duran tribute; Glass of Hearts, Blondie tribute; Bad Moon Riders, Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute; Texas Flood, Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute; Barracuda, Heart/Led Zeppelin tribute; Shooting Star, Bad Company tribute; 5150, Van Halen/Sammy Hagar tribute; and Crazy Train, Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath tribute.
The shows are being hosted by the Mt Hood Center, 29450 S.E. Lariat Lane, inside the 22,000-square-foot Wy'east Arena.
The kickoff performance on Saturday, Dec. 4, will be by Stone in Love, a Journey tribute band that has been performing faithful renditions of all the hit songs for more than a decade. The tribute showcases all the hallmarks of the Journey sound — soaring lead vocals, lush four-part harmonies, guitar licks, keyboards, and driving rhythms.
That show will begin at 8 p.m., doors at 7 p.m. Tickets for adults are $25 in advance, $30 day of show: for youths $15 in advance, $20 day off. Children 6 and under are free admission. Buy online at mthoodcenter.com/concerts.
The shows are open to all ages, and Saturday evening events also feature food and beverage vendors.
This latest series of tribute performances comes on the heels of a successful Summer Concert Series hosted by the Mt Hood Center earlier this year.
