MHC VOLLEYBALL - Barlow gets past Reynolds for third straight league win

Barlow's volleyball team passed a tough test Tuesday night, getting past Reynolds in four sets to climb back into the top half of the Mount Hood Conference standings.

After splitting the first two games, Barlow responded in the third by building a commanding 19-11 lead when Lihau Perreira slammed a kill that went off a set of Raider fingertips and out the back of the court leaving no chance at a return. She showed off her defensive skills to finish the set, diving in the front row for a dig that set up teammate Meg Marlett for a well-placed spinner that dropped in a cluster of white shirts on the other side.

The teams traded the lead a couple times early in Game 4 before Barlow pulled away late. The Bruins spent most of the match swinging away full force, but Margaret Paul switched things up with a soft tip that found empty space just behind the Raiders front line for a 21-17 lead....
