The Centennial boys soccer team put on a masterful performance under the lights Thursday to open the season with a 3-0 win over Wilsonville.

After getting a goal by Angel Santiago-Garcia late in the first half, the Eagles doubled their lead in the 61st minute when Joseph Banut dribbled along the end line and shifted a pass to the front of the goal, leaving teammate Aye Doh Chan with a clean put away into the net.

A few minutes later, Chan found himself on the receiving end of a crossing pass for another clean-up shot from in front of the goal to make it 3-0.

"Our three center mids had a lot of movement to create that extra space, and really put the pressure on their defense," Eagles coach Todd Saks said.

Centennial plays at Jesuit at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5.
