TROUTDALE — The Open Door boys basketball team opened the Valley 10 season with a 33-27 win over league newcomer Grand View Christian out of Oregon City on Tuesday night.

After trading the lead a couple times in the third quarter, the host Huskies pulled away in the fourth quarter by capitalizing on a series of fast break opportunities.

The backcourt duo of Alex Visan and Tim Posteuca combined for several of the quick-strike scores with Visan feeding perfect passes through the lane.

Moments later, the two would reverse roles with Posteuca reaching up to knock a Grand View pass out of the air, sending Visan down the floor for a quick two and a 29-21 lead with less than five minutes to play.

Open Door is at Warrenton at 6 p.m. Friday.
