Estacada (4-17)

The Corbett boys basketball team started fast and never looked back during a 56-41 win over Estacada on Monday night.

The Cardinals built a double-digit lead midway through the first quarter after Oliver blocked Estacada guard Nick Keller on a drive to the basket. After the restart, Oliver took the ball coast-to-coast for a layup at the other end.

"We came out on fire and set the tone early — they didn't really have a chance after that," Oliver said.

The Cardinals saw 6-foot-5 center Carter Larsen hit a buzzer-beating 3 out of the corner to take a commanding 44-31 lead into the fourth quarter.

Corbett (7-13) is home against Madras at 7 p.m. Thursday and finishes the season at Molalla on Tuesday night.

• The Corbett girls scored a 59-23 win over Estacada — the team's most lopsided victory of the season.
