The David Douglas girls basketball team wrapped up the final guaranteed playoff spot out of the Mount Hood Conference with a 60-40 home win over Reynolds on Tuesday night.

The Raiders held their own through most of the first half, tying the score at 21 on a layup by Olivia Lambert with less than two minutes to go before halftime.

The Scots put on a five-point spurt before the break, highlighted when Shayla Slossar fired a long pass ahead to Savannah Proske who beat the clock with a layup.

David Douglas forced back-to-back turnovers to start the third quarter, converting both chances into points and in a flash the lead was back to nine. The margin double to 18 points by the end of the third.

The Scots improved to 7-5 in league to secure fourth place in the MHC — their highest finish in six years.

David Douglas hosts league-leading Oregon City at 6 p.m. Friday.
