The Southeast Portland all-stars played a little extra to claim the District 2 majors title with a 6-5 win over Clackamas on Tuesday night at the Centennial Little League complex.

A series of quiet innings sent the game into a bonus seventh.

Clackamas went down in order with pitcher Jackson Owens striking out the last two batters.

After dropping his glove in the dugout, Owens moved to the batter's box and delivered a lead-off single through the middle.

A couple pitches later, Anthony Coate smashed a double to the right-field corner. Owens moved around the bases, putting in a few wild hops of celebration as he rounded third base before sliding across the plate to win the game.

The Southeast squad advances to play next week in the state tournament in Salem.
