PHOTOS: Corbett softball wins Madras series 9-3, 13-0
Corbett softball won a double-header against Madras Friday afternoon in a series that brought together two of the top teams in the Tri-Valley Conference as postseason play is days away.
The Cardinals won both Friday, May 13, bouts against the Buffalos on the road in Madras. First they won 9-3, followed by a 13-0 drubbing.
The pair of wins should secure Corbett a spot in postseason play since the top three teams in the conference earn automatic bids to the 4A Softball State Championships. As of Sunday, May 15, Estacada leads (13-2, 18-6 overall), followed by Corbett (9-4, 11-9) and Madras (8-6, 12-11).
