Historically Spring is the best time of year to sell your home. The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming and it's warmer. The change in the season brings out homebuyers, so make sure your home has curb appeal. Landscaping and an attractive entrance will add real value to your home. Here are some tips to improve your home's curb appeal.

Declutter the yard, removing chairs, lawn art and toys that will distract a buyer. You will probably take those things with you when you move, anyway, so pack them up and let your yard shine. Replace the mulch and clean up the flower beds. Plant annuals to add color and clean up a water feature. Slime and green stuff in your feature is not a selling point.

Use a power washer to clean paved surfaces, fences or siding. And add some outdoor lighting to play up the best features in your yard.

Spiff up the outside of your house with new mailbox or door knocker and add some stylish house numbers to complete the job. Touch up the paint where it looks worn or faded and finish the look with potted plants. It is important for the front door to look as appealing as possible, so clean and paint or upgrade entirely. Wash the windows, retouching paint and repairing where necessary to complete your exterior upgrade.

Now those winter weary buyers will see your home in the best light and fall over each other to make offers. Give Veta The Realtor a call for further advice on your home's curb appeal.
