2020 has been unkind to The Gym. Lockdowns and social distancing requirements have made it tough to work out in person and take advantage of all the benefits The Gym has to offer. Things like our super clean equipment, knowledgeable staff, smoothie bar and great products.

Which is unfortunate, because the Quarantine 15 is real.

Binge watching Netflix, baking all that banana bread and even working from home, have kept us from keeping up with our fitness routines. So what is a devoted exercise junkie to do?

Well, first of all, give Nate. Tell him you miss him and wish you could be together sweating and grunting. Then work out at home.

Put on those cute exercise togs you got to motivate yourself to work out at home. Don't forget those unused shoes that have been sitting in your closet waiting for you.

Remember the weights you bought from Amazon back in April? Set them in front of the big screen to remind yourself to use them. Do some bicep curls while you watch The Simpsons. Really, do you have something else to do?

Stay hydrated. With water. Wine, beer and hard liquor sales have climbed steadily during the pandemic and the temptation is great. You don't have to drink them, they are empty calories and you might drop one of your weights on your foot.

Everyone at The Gym is looking forward to seeing your faces and muscles again in 2021. In the meantime, stay safe and stay fit.
