The Vaccine is Here! What's Next?
Our Caring Places Management team understands our residents and their families are anxious to start visiting once the community is vaccinated. We also have no greater desire than to open our doors, but we might have to wait longer than we had hoped.
The Beehive and Hawthorne House are working with staff and nurses to administer the vaccine to all who want it. We have already held the first of 3 vaccination clinics for our residents and staff. The first clinic was Jan. 5, the next clinic is on Jan. 26 and the 3rd clinic is on Feb. 19. Getting the vaccination is a very personal decision and we honor each resident's and staff member's choice. We hope the vaccination will mitigate any risk and exposure within our facilities. We encourage each resident and staff member to receive the vaccination.
Unfortunately, the Beehive and Hawthorne House won't be able to open their doors and allow families to visit, at least not now. Each community will be bound by the local health authorities, these decisions are not made by the administrators in our communities.
Thank you for your patience as the roll out of the vaccination continues. It is our mission to keep your loved ones happy and healthy. We are keeping our residents connected with family virtually and in limited in-person visits. We will keep you informed. As always. if you have questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to your community administrator.
