Opening weekend for the markets was a great success despite the rain. Oregonians are used to the rain and we love our Markets!

The Saturday Market opened Saturday April 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will run through October 30 Downtown at the Civic Center Plaza. This year the market offers pre-orders via What's Good, curbside pickup, a $10 SNAP match and $10 Veteran's match. The Market Sprouts program for kids starts in June.

Besides the freshest fruits and vegetables, the Market offers baked goods, beverages like kombucha and vodka, soaps and chocolates. You can pick up BBQ, crepes or a cookie to eat right away. Decorate your home with candles or your self with jewelry. There is something for everyone!

The Orenco Station Market opened Sunday April 25 and runs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. through October 31 between N.E. 61 st Avenue and N.E. Orenco Station Parkway north of N.E. Cornell Road. The Sunday market also offers pre-orders via What's Good, curbside pickup, a $10 SNAP match and $10 Veteran's match. The Market Sprouts program for kids starts in June here too.

The bounty of the Oregon countryside was on display at the Hillsboro Farmers Market in 2020.

Markets will follow guidelines provided by state and federal authorities in order to provide as much protection as possible for both customers and vendors. We are also observing and communicating with other farmers' markets in Oregon, Washington, and California for further ideas to enhance that safety. Measures will include:

Reconfigure the Markets' layouts to preserve safety and allow for social distancing

Development and implementation of updated emergency plan for COVID-19 operations

Provide proper PPE to staff and volunteers

Provide handwashing stations with hand sanitizer for staff, vendors, and customers.

Regular sanitization of common surfaces

Cancelling all non-essential programs and services

Provide additional space between vendors

All Market Staff/Volunteers will wear safety vests for ease of identification

Have assigned Social Distancing Officers to monitor safety throughout the market.

Zero tolerance policy for coming to work sick

For the safety of all, social distancing will be observed at both Markets

Customers will be required to:

Follow all market signs and regulations

Masks are required

Please remain at home if you are sick, have possibly been exposed to COVID-19, and/or are at high-risk

Pre-order as much as possible

Follow social distancing rules enforced by the markets (6ft minimum)

Limit shoppers per household at the markets (if applicable)

Leave your dogs and other pets at home

Wash your hands regularly and bring your own hand sanitizer

Prepay or use a card rather than cash for purchases

Take hot food to-go, unless a designated seating area is provided.

The Hillsboro Farmers Markets support local growers nad provide the freshest product. Photo taken pre-pandemic.
